Karn Skating Dynamics is now taking requests for Sept. – Dec. Small Group Training.

Our locations and hours:

BLAKE- 6:00-8:30 am, B’VILLE- 6:00-7:30 am, EP- 6:30-8:30 am, & PLYMOUTH- 6:00-8:00 am

Kids skate for a 1/2 hour once a week! Sign up at the bottom of our Small Group Training page!

A.M. Small Group Training (Sept.-May)

The registration for our A.M. Small Group Training is on going throughout the school year!

Our popular small group training is available at four metro rinks on different days of the week: Blake (M,W,F) , Eden Prairie (Tues) , Plymouth (Wed) , and Burnsville (Thurs).

Only Three Summer Training Clinics Still Open!

As of May 27th, all but three of our Summer Training Clinics are full. We can no longer accept new registrations for clinics 1, 2, 4, 5, and 7. The remaining three clinics are filling up fast. We are happy to announce our official schedule for our Summer Training Clinics. We will be back at St. Louis Park arena this summer. These clinics are a great way to start – or continue – improving your skating skills with Karn Skating Dynamics.

Each clinic meets once a week over a 10 week session. These clinics are always well attended and many Small Group Training students also attend of these clinics as well.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!

We offer three distinct clinics:

In addition, the above are available as Team and Association Clinics.

Too many times, skills are taught by demonstrating a finished product. When students fall short of achieving these skills they don’t understand why.

Skating is the foundation skill for Hockey. It makes or breaks all other skills and each player’s and team’s ability to reach elite levels.

Skills need to be broken down into their individual dynamics; these dynamics whether strengths or weaknesses are targeted and repeatedly practiced. This process ingrains tha neuromuscular pattens needed to rebuild the finished skill. It sounds like a mouthful, although we make it relatively basic and it’s taught to instill confidence. Many of our students go on to become very competent self-trainers, continuing to improve on into the future.
